Matt Connolly, Founder and CEO, Tällt Ventures
Tuesday 14th March 2017 – 5.30pm – 7.30pm, Bristol
Agency services are being commoditised. Clients aren’t buying strategy. Production is easily offshored or even brought in-house. Staff are more expensive than ever. Add that to the tech revolution taking place and it makes for an interesting (and fragile) time to work in and run agencies.
So what is the answer? How can you adapt? How can you help your clients better anticipate change and remain relevant? What happens if you don’t?
Matt Connolly, Founder and CEO of Tällt Ventures, talked about what does and doesn’t work within the agency model. He’ll brought to life what is going on in the world of start-ups and how that relates to your day job. He also bought to life some very practical steps on how to build more strategic and long-term relationships with clients.
All with a view on how to thrive, not just survive, in this time of change.
About the Speaker
Matt started his career at the world’s biggest digital agency, now called Digital LBi. With no creative skills and definitely no idea how to write a line of code, he decided he could do better. So he left London for the bright lights of Bristol.
In 2003 he founded Enable – a digital innovation agency that grew and grew and ended up as
the UK’s Number 1. Over the years Matt’s creative and technical skills never improved but he did find his calling as a strategist, advising some of the world’s biggest brands on how to get the most from their digital investments. His clients included Microsoft, Barclays, Channel 4, Louis Vuitton and many more.
In 2011 Matt moved into the world of tech start-ups as both an investor and founder, and most recently set up Tällt Ventures – a data intelligence and innovation company that tracks over 5 million start-ups, helping clients better connect with those start-ups that disrupt their industries.
Tällt also publishes Disrupt100.com – an index of the businesses with the most potential to influence, change or create new global markets.
