Join us at the Bristol Marketing Network event on Tuesday 10th January to hear Bristol entrepreneur, Ben Heald, talk about the challenge of sustaining business and marketing effectiveness through changes in technology, social media, and the growing dominance of media giants.

Also, how to maintain stability and negotiate a path through shifting funding climates and times of economic ups and downturns. Ben is Chairman of Sift, one of the UK’s largest online professional publishing businesses, and has steered his business through seismic change. He will share what he has learnt from his journey and deliver some lessons other marketers and businesses can apply to modifications and developments within their own sector.

About the speaker

Ben was one of the founders of Sift in 1996, which grew to 150 staff, with revenues of £9m in 2015. He started up AccountingWEB in 1997, and has been involved in launching all Sift’s businesses since then. At the start of 2016 he split Sift into 2 separate companies: Sift – the publishing business mostly focused on the accounting sector and Sift Digital – a digital engagement consultancy. Ben also chairs eFiling Limited, Bristol Pound and is a trustee of St George’s. Other passions include rewilding and political reform!

When and Where

Our venue for the evening is The Clifton Club, Bristol. As always, the evening starts at the bar with networking from 5.30pm. The talk starts at 6.30 and finishes by 7.30pm, allowing for even more networking time.
