How Big Brands use Social Media

Jon Payne- Founder of Noisy Little Monkey

Bristol, The Clifton Club

Many people can benefit from using digital social media, whether this is in a personal capacity or for their business, but they are not always too sure what to post. This problem is not limited to individuals or small organisations.

Ten years ago digital social media was in its infancy. Since then the technology has changed and so too has the way that big brands manage the medium. But even the biggest brands struggle to post messages without damaging their brand presence.
Looking back we can see what lessons can be learned from the mistakes of others.

This talk will examine how well-known brands have used social media effectively, whilst others make mistakes. By picking these successes and failures apart we can start to get insights into the reasons behind what makes some campaigns work and others fail. We can then apply these examples to our own businesses when thinking about what to post on social media pages.

The speaker will examine a range of examples of brands and businesses, some known internationally and others more closely associated with the South West.
At the end of the talk he will present her five key messages on how to be successful in the art of using Social Media.
